Seon Duk Kim
Soprano

Soprano Seon Duk Kim is a promising new talent on the rise. She has established herself as one of the most gifted sopranos in France. Her unique voice, combined with her elegant and charismatic stage presence, has prompted praise for Ms. Kim in all her recent appearances.

Ms. Kim’s most notable roles include Mimi in La bohéme, Liu in Turandot, Cio Cio San in Madama Butterfly, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, and Euridice in Orphée aux enfers, and the title roles in Donizetti’s Anna Bolena, Dvorzak’s Rusalka, and Massenet’s Manon, among others. Equally at home on the concert stage, Ms. Kim has sung the sopranos solos in Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, among others.

She has previously appeared with AJO Opera (Paris, France), Créteil House of Arts, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts (Seoul, Korea), Auditorium of Marcel Dadi, Auditorium of Aulnay-sous-Bois, Grande Concert Hall, France Theatre of Marsoulan, Bourg-la-Reine Hall, Charenton-le-Pont Hall, Charenton-le-Pont, and the France Seoul Arts Center.

Ms. Kim was the First Place Winner in the Leopold Bellan International Music of Dramatic Arts Competition in 2010.
