Baritone Jorge Nelson Martinez made his debut at the young age of 21 in his native Cuba, at the Teatro Lirico Rodrigo Prats, performing the role of Casto Jose in La Corte de Faraon.

Mr. Martinez made his international debut in 2019, performing the role of Messer Amantio di Nicolao in Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

In 2022, Mr. Martinez performed the role of Rigoletto in Rigoletto at the Teatro Sociale in Busto Arsizio, Italy. Also in 2022, he returned to Teatro alla Scala in Milan, performing the role of Il Conte Robinson in Il Matrimonio Segreto. Later that year, he performed the role of Conte di Luna in Il trovatore at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi, Italy.

In 2023, Mr. Martinez performed the role of Conte di Luna in Il trovatore at Teatro Sociale in Rovigo, Teatro Coccia in Novara, and Teatro Communale in Novara in Treviso, Giorgio Germont in La traviata at Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in Cagliari, Marcello in La boheme at Teatro Verdi in Padova and Teatro Communale Mario del Monaco in Treviso and Teatro Sociale in Rovigo.

In 2024, Mr. Martinez performed the role of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly at Teatro Verdi in Padova and Teatro Communale Mario del Monaco in Treviso.

In 2018, Mr. Martinez moved to Milan, Ital,y where he studies with Luciana D’Intino.
